Artificial Limbs Project

More than 16 months after the end of the 26-year Sri Lankan Civil War an estimated 160,000 amputees lack proper prosthetic limbs.

The Lebara Foundation’s Artificial Limbs project has already helped more than 100 of these war victims in conflict-ravaged northern Sri Lanka.

The project aims to help a total of 200 people by providing artificial limbs for those too poor to afford them but will also ensure these people are emotionally and socially rehabilitated into society.
