Lebara wins Best Mobile Virtual Network Operator for the 5th year running and Best Community & Social Enterprise for the 2nd year at the UK Mobile News Awards 2014
London, UK – Monday 17 March 2014 - Lebara, a leading European mobile telecoms operator for migrant communities, was awarded Best Mobile Virtual Network Operator for the fifth consecutive year running and Best Community & Social Enterprise for the second year running at the UK Mobile News Awards 2014, held on Thursday 13 March 2014, at the London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane.
Lebara again impressed the industry panel with its overall strong commercial performance, marketing initiatives and reach, supportive customer service, network quality and technical innovation. Judges stated, “Lebara is pushing so many levers to drive growth with innovation on pricing, marketing and distribution,” and said that Lebara is “a proven performer that performs yet again”.
Lebara was chosen over competitors including Now Mobile and Tesco.
Best Community & Social Enterprise
After winning it for the first time last year, Lebara successfully defended their title against GreenTech Recycling. The Lebara Foundation was praised for its inspiring approach to global child poverty, healthcare and education and its donation to refugee-welfare organisation UNHCR for immediate relief to victims of the Philippines typhoon. One judge said, “The Lebara Foundation leads the way for companies with a social conscience.”

These include Best Large Contact Centre at the European Call Centre and Customer Service Awards 2013, Best Large Contact Centre at UK Customer Experience Awards 2013 and Best for Customer Service, Customer Engagement category at Peer Awards 2013. Lebara also won Best MVNO at the Mobile industry Awards 2013.
