Lebara wins Best MVNO at UK Mobile Industry Awards 2014

For the second successive year, judges recognise and commend Lebara for leading the way by offering customers great value and service.
London, UK – Monday 9th June 2014.

Lebara, one of Europe’s leading mobile telecoms operators, was awarded ‘Best Virtual Network Operator’ for the second year at the Mobile Industry Awards 2014 in London on Thursday 5th June.

This accolade is Lebara’s third industry award this year. It re-confirms that Lebara leads the MVNO market by demonstrating its strong financial performance, innovation and ability and desire to listen to its customers. The independent judges’ feedback stated that Lebara’s money transfer service was ‘bang on’ for its target market.

Lebara was the chosen winner over other category MVNOs, Tesco Mobile, Gamma and Truphone.

The panel of judges also said that ‘Lebara Mobile continues to go from strength to strength. Its marketing is great. It has a strong following wherever there is a large overseas population. It is very clever at targeting corridors of entry to the UK, from bus stops in Poland, to airports. It gives great value and has great customer service. It knows its customers through and through and is very good at marketing to them.”

Lebara was awarded Best MVNO, for the fifth consecutive year, and Best Community & Social Enterprise, two years running, at the Mobile News Awards 2014 in March.

Lebara was founded in 2001 and employs over 1,200 people in its eight markets around the world. The London based call centre serves all of its seven European operations, with staff fluent in over 25 languages. Lebara’s commitment to customer service and experience was recognised in 2012 and 2013 through 10 awards.
