Lebara and Huawei Extend Collaboration to Deploy Next Generation Digital Charging System
London, UK, 28 April, 2015: Lebara, the universal brand for the world’s migrant community, and Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, have today jointly announced that they will collaborate on a new Online Digital Charging System.
The agreement will see Huawei deliver and integrate the next generation Charging System to support Lebara’s business ambitions and to provide a single sign-on process for new and existing Lebara services. Lebara’s customers will benefit from a best-in-class integrated charging system, enabling flexible payments to access an array of innovative services covering entertainment, finance and communications, including the new Lebara Talk app.
Speaking about the announcement, Mr Yoganathan Ratheesan, Chairman and CEO of Lebara, commented, “We’re very proud of our collaborative partnership with Huawei which has been established for a number of years. With Huawei’s market-leading technology, we’re able to innovate and enhance our systems to provide the best possible customer experience for all our products and services.”
Alongside the benefits to consumers, the new system – which can be used anywhere in the world – will decrease the existing time to market, as well as reducing total cost and carbon footprint, as Lebara continues to expand internationally through its digital activities.
Gordon Luo, CEO, Huawei UK said: “I’m very pleased to announce this partnership with Lebara. Lebara has a reputation for providing innovative, flexible and cost effective services to its customers and Huawei is honoured to have been selected to provide the Online Charging System upgrade. As a global company, we are proud to provide Lebara with the most up-to-date and advanced digital charging solution.”
