Lebara voted best-in-class for 4th year running at Mobile News Awards 2013.

- Awarded Best MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) - Awarded Best Community and Social Enterprise
London, UK – Monday 18th 2013 – Lebara, one of Europe’s leading mobile telecoms operators for foreign nationals, was awarded ‘Best Mobile Virtual Network Operator’ at the Mobile News Awards 2013 at the Hilton Park Lane in London on Thursday 14 March. This is the fourth consecutive year that Lebara has been recognised within the telecommunications industry for its strengths in customer experience, innovation and commercial performance, ahead of other MVNOs, such as Tesco Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
The company was also awarded ‘Best Community and Social Enterprise’ for its commitment to giving back to communities across the world through the Lebara Foundation, ahead of worthy competition from the 2012 winners, Vodafone as well as O2.
Yoganathan Ratheesan, Chairman of Lebara Group commentated, “We are delighted to receive these awards. To win Best MVNO for four consecutive years is truly incredible. In the category of Best MVNO, the judges recognised Lebara for its “innovative approach” and “great employee experience and investment”. In the category of Best Community and Social Enterprise, the judges spoke of “outstanding work which benefits communities around the world” and said that “the charity work and ethos is clearly embedded in this company”.
Lebara was founded in 2001 and employs over 1,200 people in its eight markets around the world. The London based call centre serves all of its seven European operations, with staff fluent in over 25 languages. Lebara’s commitment to customer service and experience was recognised in 2012 through eight awards.
