Our Terms & Conditions for Lebara Talk Refer a Friend

1. Your acceptance

In these terms and conditions “You” (Referrer) shall mean the existing customer who has downloaded and signed up with the Lebara Talk App. “Referee” shall mean the new customer being introduced to Lebara through the Lebara Refer a Friend Scheme (the “Refer a Friend Scheme"). “Reward” shall mean the reward you and a Referee will receive for successful referrals and any subsequent top ups.

2. What is the Refer a Friend Scheme?

The Refer a Friend Scheme allows You to receive Rewards for referring your friends and loved ones to Lebara (the Referee) in accordance with the following terms and conditions.  In addition, when referred, your friend or loved one (the Referee) will also receive a Reward.

3. Can You take part?

To refer customers you must be a current and active Lebara Talk App user.   For both You and a Referee to qualify for a Reward, the Referee must have downloaded the Lebara Talk app, signed up using the unique Refer a Friend code during the registration process within 7 days of the date of their download and have passed any identity and age verification checks as deemed necessary by Lebara or its agents from time to time.

4. Who can Your refer?

There is no limit to the number of friends or loved ones you can refer. However, neither spamming nor publication of your Refer a Friend code shall be permitted and doing either of these things (other than through blogs or to known contacts or friends of friends on social networking websites such as Facebook, My Space or Twitter for example) will result in your disqualification from the Refer a Friend Scheme and you and any Referee being ineligible for any benefits or rewards under the Refer a Friend Scheme.

5. How can You make a referral?

You can take part by distributing the unique Refer a Friend code as shown on your App to your individual friends and family members. Friends and family must use the code provided by you and enter it during the Lebara Talk App sign up process in order for the referral to be associated with your account.  Only one unique referral link is permitted per Lebara Talk App customer. In the event there is a dispute, the link generated first will take precedence, and Lebara’s decision shall be final.  Friends and family must use your unique referral code in order for the referral to be associated with your Lebara Talk App account. You must remain signed up to the App with the same mobile phone number in order to qualify for call credit at the time the Referral becomes eligible for a reward.

6. What do Your friends need to do?

The Referee must download and sign up with the Lebara Talk App using your unique Refer a Friend code during the sign up process, make an initial top-up of 5 (50 in Sweden) local currency units or more.

7. When will You be credited Your Reward?

Subject to meeting the above criteria, the Reward call credit will be credited to your Lebara Talk account within 24 hours of becoming eligible.

You will qualify for 2 (20 in Sweden) local currency unit Reward, and a Referee will qualify for 1 (10 in Sweden) local currency unit Reward, when a Referee makes an initial top-up of 5 (50 in Sweden) or more of local currency units having used your unique referral code as part of the Lebara Talk App sign up process within 7 days from them having downloaded the App.  You can recommend an unlimited number of Referees. The free call credit is valid for 90 days from receipt. You will also be eligible for 10% reward on every subsequent top-up the Referee makes calculated on the amount top-up each time.  

Rewards will be provided in the respective currency (or currencies) where your Lebara Talk App account and the Referee’s Lebara Talk App account are held at the time of referral. Where Your account and the Referees account are in different currencies, foreign exchange rates will be applied which may result in you receiving less than 10% of the subsequent amounts topped up. The current exchange rates applied vary from time to time and the current rates can be viewed here. 

8. What else do You need to know?

By Referring a friend or loved one both You and the Referee agree to data regarding your Lebara Talk account activity being disclosed by Lebara to each other as appropriate, for the purpose of the Refer a Friend Scheme. You also consent to Lebara keeping you up to date with your account activity and contacting you from time to time in relation to the Scheme and its other offers and services generally. You will have the opportunity to opt-out of receiving such communications from each communication you receive. You must notify any Referee that data will be shared in this way before they sign up using your unique code.

Lebara reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to exclude You and any Referee from the Refer a Friend Scheme and from the Lebara Talk App if it believes You or a Referee have tried to benefit from the Refer a Friend Scheme by using more than one mobile phone or otherwise engaging in fraudulent or other activities that indicate that referrals or top-ups are not made in good faith but for the purpose of abusing the terms and/or spirit of the Refer a Friend Scheme. In such instance, neither You or the Referee shall be entitled to participate in any Lebara promotion or Scheme and Lebara shall not be obliged to provide a reason to You or a Referee for such exclusion.

Lebara may at any time suspend or void the Refer a Friend Scheme for any reason that Lebara, in its absolute discretion, thinks appropriate and any liability from Lebara to You or a Referee shall immediately cease upon Lebara publicised notification of such action. In respect of any dispute, howsoever arising, Lebara's decision will be final.

Any Reward call credit will not count towards any other incentive scheme including but not limited to the Lebara Rewards scheme nor do any free call credit You or a Referee acquire or top-ups you or a Referee make in order to meet the requirements of this or any other Lebara promotion will count towards this offer. Reward call credit may only be used in conjunction with your or a Referee’s existing Lebara Talk App and is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No cash alternatives or alternative credits will be given.

The original language of these terms and conditions is English and any interpretation of this Agreement will be based on the original English text. If this Agreement or any documents or notices related to it are translated into any other language, the original English version will prevail.

By entering into this Refer a Friend Scheme, both you and any Referee will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Refer a Friend Scheme. All entry instructions are deemed to form part of these terms and conditions.

The terms and conditions of the Refer a Friend Scheme are to be read in conjunction with the Lebara Talk Terms and Conditions and the General Terms and Conditions of Lebara which can be viewed at www.lebara.com/terms-and-conditions. In the event of a conflict between the terms and conditions of the Refer a Friend Scheme and the General terms and conditions of Lebara, the General terms and conditions shall take precedence.

The free call credit shall be issued and redeemed by Lebara Talk.

Lebara reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Refer a Friend Scheme at any time.
